It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to keep, maintain or harbor exotic animals on a property or in any residence, household or dwelling unit within the city. “Exotic animal” under this section includes, but is not limited to, live alligators, crocodiles, cayman, monkeys, member of the feline species other than the domestic cat (felis domesticus), member of the canine species other than the domestic dog (canis familiaris), wolf dog hybrids, prairie dog, gambian rat, venomous snakes, lizards capable of growing to more than five feet in length at maturity, nonvenomous snakes capable of growing more than six feet in length at maturity, venomous invertebrates and venomous amphibians.
